You are guaranteed to see every muscle flex in front of Masa Yuasa’s lens.
His photography is as powerful and as perfectly toned as the bodies of his models. Trained athletes fight side by side with enticingly juicy fashion.
Inspired by the black and white photography of a Japanese photographer, Masa first started out as a travel photographer in the 80ies.
After graduating from Berlin‘s Lette Verein he worked in Paris, where he had the opportunity to assist some highly renowned fashion and car photographers, such as Ellen von Unwerth, Blaise Reuterswärd, Kutlu, Tim Kent, and Carter Smith.
Seduced by immaculate beauty at first sight, he later grants his motives more and more room to move freely without ever losing his eye for the details.
The balanced dynamics of his work stem from his permanent aspiration to delve into his surroundings and to capture the intensity of every single movement.
